Biography

I am a New York and Los Angeles based production designer who’s held a lifelong passion for vibrant, layered and, above all else, authentic narrative worlds. 

Growing up as a formally trained oil painter and life drawer in the midwest , I developed the creative intuitions one gains from a sustained practice of mindfully observing their surroundings, rendering their artistic vision and then more deeply realizing it through repeated critique, reflection and revision. 

As a production designer, I’ve carried those foundational skills to the medium of the moving image.

I view my role as steering the process of researching the aesthetic and practical realities of each project’s characters and environments so that I can collaborate with a team to fully realize rich, elevated film worlds that still maintain their authenticity and relatability. 

In a time where the backgrounds and circumstances of filmmakers and their stories are expanding like never before, I feel fortunate to get to present audiences with experiences that are as visually enriching as they are empathy-provoking. 

The decade I’ve spent contributing to major studio features and series as an art director, 3D concept illustrator, graphic designer and researcher has put me in a unique position to design projects of any scope.
